- 4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 3 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp paprika
- Β½ tsp garlic powder
- Β½ tsp black pepper
- Β½ tsp salt, or to taste
- ΒΌ tsp onion powder
- ΒΌ tsp red pepper flakes, optional
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

- Prepare the potatoes:
Wash and thinly slice the potatoes. Pat them dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. - Heat the skillet:
Heat the oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. - Fry the potatoes:
Add the potatoes in an even layer. Cook for 8β10 minutes, turning occasionally, until they begin to turn golden and crispy. - Add the onions:
Add the sliced onions and cook for another 8β12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the potatoes are golden and tender and the onions are caramelized. - Season:
Sprinkle with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and red pepper flakes. Toss well and cook for another 1β2 minutes. - Finish & serve:
Remove from the heat, sprinkle with fresh parsley, and serve hot. π₯π₯
π‘ Tip
For extra-crispy potatoes, donβt overcrowd the skillet. Cook in batches if necessary and let the potatoes sit for a couple of minutes between stirring.
