Ingredients:
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- ½ cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
Method:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mash the bananas. Whisk in the melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture. Stir just until combined—do not overmix.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips and nuts, if using.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle a few extra chocolate chips on top if desired.
- Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean.
- Let cool in the pan for 10–15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Slice and enjoy warm or at room temperature. 🍌🍫
