Ingredients:
- 1½ lbs ground beef
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 1 can (28 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp salt, or to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 green bell pepper, diced, optional
Method:
- Heat a large pot over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and onion. Cook until the beef is browned and the onion is tender. Drain excess grease.
- Add the garlic and green bell pepper. Cook for 1–2 minutes.
- Stir in the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Stir in the elbow macaroni. Cover and simmer for 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is tender.
- Remove from heat and stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted.
- Let the goulash rest for a few minutes before serving.
