Ingredients:

  • 4 ears fresh corn on the cob, husks and silk removed
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • Β½ teaspoon black pepper
  • Β½ teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the corn: Remove the husks and silk from each ear of corn. Rinse under cold water.
  2. Bring water to a boil: Fill a large pot with enough water to cover the corn. Bring to a boil.
  3. Cook the corn: Carefully add the corn and cook for 5–8 minutes, until the kernels are tender and juicy.
  4. Melt the butter: While the corn cooks, melt the butter in a small saucepan or microwave-safe bowl.
  5. Season: Remove the corn with tongs and let the excess water drain. Brush generously with melted butter and sprinkle with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder if desired.
  6. Add extra flavor: Finish with fresh parsley or grated Parmesan for an extra-special touch.
  7. Serve hot: Enjoy immediately while the butter is warm and the corn is deliciously tender!

Tip: For even more flavor, grill the boiled corn for 2–3 minutes, turning occasionally, until lightly charred. You can also brush the corn with garlic butter for a delicious BBQ-style side dish.
