🍔🧀 Homemade Hamburger Helper

Servings: 6

🛒 Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 8 oz elbow macaroni
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, optional

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Brown the beef: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and onion. Cook for 6–8 minutes, breaking up the beef, until browned. Drain excess grease if needed.
  2. Add garlic: Stir in minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
  3. Build the sauce: Add beef broth, milk, tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
  4. Add pasta: Stir in the uncooked macaroni. Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce heat to medium-low.
  5. Cook: Cover and simmer for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is tender and most of the liquid has been absorbed.
  6. Make it cheesy: Turn off the heat. Stir in butter and shredded cheddar until melted and creamy.
  7. Serve: Garnish with parsley and extra cheese if desired. Serve hot! 🍔🧀❤️

Tip: For an extra-creamy texture, use freshly shredded cheddar cheese and add a splash of milk before serving if needed.
