Ingredients:
- 1Β½ lbs fresh green beans, trimmed
- 5 medium potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks
- 4 slices bacon, chopped
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 tsp salt
- Β½ tsp black pepper
- Β½ tsp smoked paprika
- Β½ tsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions:
- Cook the chopped bacon in a large pot over medium heat until crispy. Remove excess grease, leaving about 1β2 tablespoons in the pot.
- Add the onion and cook for 3β4 minutes until softened. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
- Add the green beans and potatoes.
- Pour in the chicken broth and add salt, pepper, smoked paprika, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 25β30 minutes, or until the potatoes and green beans are tender.
- Stir in the butter and cooked bacon.
- Taste and adjust the seasoning.
- Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve hot with cornbread. π½οΈπ₯π
