🥩 Beef Tips & Gravy 😍

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs beef stew meat or sirloin tips, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced, optional
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Method:

  1. Pat the beef tips dry and season with salt, pepper, paprika, onion powder, and thyme.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet or Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Brown the beef in batches for 2–3 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  3. Add the butter and diced onion to the same pan. Cook for 3–4 minutes until softened.
  4. Add the garlic and mushrooms, if using. Cook for another 2–3 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle the flour over the vegetables and stir well. Cook for about 1 minute.
  6. Slowly pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, stirring constantly to create a smooth gravy.
  7. Return the beef tips and any accumulated juices to the pan.
  8. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 45–60 minutes, or until the beef is tender and the gravy is rich and thick. If using sirloin tips, they may need less cooking time.
  9. Taste and adjust the seasoning.
  10. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

🥔 Serve over creamy mashed potatoes, egg noodles, or fluffy white rice so you can soak up every bit of that rich gravy! 😋
