Ingredients:
- 2 lbs ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup milk
- ¼ cup ketchup
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
For the Glaze:
- ½ cup ketchup
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp yellow mustard
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Method:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a loaf pan or line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, eggs, milk, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and smoked paprika. Mix gently until just combined.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in the prepared pan or on the baking sheet.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the ketchup, brown sugar, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Spread about half of the glaze over the meatloaf.
- Bake for 45 minutes. Spread the remaining glaze over the top and continue baking for another 15–20 minutes, until the meatloaf reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
- Let the meatloaf rest for 10–15 minutes before slicing. Serve warm with mashed potatoes, green beans, or your favorite comfort-food sides.
